I'm Kathryn. I'm a Registered Play Therapist and I'm excited meet you and give you a tour of my play therapy office! I'm passionate about working with children ages 3 and older and have a child-led approach. That means that I believe that the best way to see therapeutic change is to listen to your child and what they need in the play room instead of having a pre-set agenda. I love using Sand Tray, Somatic Experiential Play Therapy, and art-based interventions with both children and adults. My therapeutic approach is grounded in creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their emotions, heal from past experiences, and ultimately thrive within themselves and their families. The relationships and results that develop from these approaches are amazing to witness! Within the context of play therapy, I work with many children and teens who have experienced trauma. Additionally, I work with parents as a certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and love working with Autistic and LGBTQIA+ individuals and families. My hope is that during and after the therapeutic process, we'll foster emotional resilience and personal growth through compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic interventions. I'm also trained in the DC 0-5 diagnostic framework, Adlerian psychotherapy. Please reach out for an appointment. I would love to meet you!
