Hi! I’m Rakiya (She/Her), and I’m in the final year of my Master of Social Work program with a Clinical Social Work specialization. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. My passion lies in supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges using a compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based approach.
I bring experience from a variety of settings, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group sessions, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) practices. Currently, I serve as a CTSS (Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports) provider at Summer Counseling, where I work closely with children, teens, and families to support emotional regulation, behavior challenges, and mental wellness. I strive to create a warm, supportive space where clients of all backgrounds feel heard, accepted, and empowered to grow.
I believe that healing happens through connection, self-awareness, and personalized care. Whether we’re working on anxiety, stress, family issues, or emotional challenges, I will walk alongside you with empathy and care.
Outside of my professional work, I prioritize self-care through walks, mindfulness, gym time, and reading. I believe in practicing what I encourage in others-inding balance, joy, and growth in everyday life.
I’m currently accepting new clients and would love to connect. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or a loved one, I’m here to help guide the journey toward healing and positive change.
